AGM – Mar 2021
This year’s AGM took on a different format to past meetings, driven by the ongoing COVID-19 requirements. We still couldn’t meet in-person, but are now well used to seeing each other on screen, so this was the obvious solution. There were a few questions as to whether a quorum would be achieved, but more than sufficient members appeared on the screen.
Commodore Leslie began with a round-up of the year’s activities, which had included some limited on-water interaction when allowed. We were reminded of how successfully we’d managed to keep winter talks continuing, even with the Lockdown in place.
The accounts were reviewed and approved, and all current committee members were happy to continue serving, so the election process was a simple one.
We also looked ahead to the 2021 sailing season, with high hopes that we’d be able to meet as a Club soon, and enjoy some sailing again. Restrictions may still be in place currently, but there are positive signs that Rallies and a Cruise would be possible.
