Woodland walk and visit to Vyne House, Garden & Nature Reserve

Our first visit of the year very definitely does not involve a boat ride and we can only hope for better weather than we ‘enjoyed’ at Hurst! There is a challenge. Find out if there are any nautical connections during the visit at the Vyne!

The woodland walks are extensive and not at all demanding with several alternative trails suggested in Morgaston wood.

The walk passes by the nature reserve via the walkway and purpose built hide.

We can take our own packed lunches of course and there is a café with seating on the ground and first floors. Outside there is a snack bar with plenty of tables and seating. The Vyne house, dating from the early 1500’s is well worth visiting, the ground floor will be open on the day and, whilst we don’t have a formal tour arranged, each room has a guide, etc.

The day starts at 10.30am at the main car park. Admission is free to National trust members or £19.80 (gift aid discounted)

We’re then free to set off on the woodland walk, then take lunch and visit the house or indeed, start with the house.

Dogs must be on a lead in the woodland and grounds, but not allowed in the house.
