Roger Brydges – “MAIB” – Apr 2018

Roger Brydges, an Inspector of Marine Accidents at the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB), provided a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the work of the government’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch.

He included details of the lessons that have come from some of the cases with which he has been involved, including investigation of the two separate fatalities on the last Clipper Round the World Race.

Roger is himself a lifelong sailor in dinghies and yachts, and has been with the MAIB for over 20 years.
